This person will be responsible for synthesizing insights from quantitative and qualitative data to provide expert guidance on brand/content performance and multi-platform viewing. The ideal candidate is an extremely experienced Media Research professional with a deep knowledge of, and passion for, the television and digital landscape. Reporting to the SVP of Paramount Network/TV Land/CMT Multi-Platform Analytics, this individual will lead a team of researchers with varying levels of experience and be a true partner to the executive teams of multiple brands. In addition, the right candidate will also play a role in bridging insights across the Analytics and Consumer Insights teams.
Responsibilities
include:
• Contribute Analytics support to re-branding of Spike to Paramount Network.
• Provide top line and detailed analysis, reports, presentations and highlights for the Paramount Network, TV Land, CMT brands and content
• Analyze and explain the relationship/impact between linear ratings and other viewing platforms such as VOD, streaming, SVOD, and other emerging platforms
• Work hand-in-hand with the Programming teams to maximize linear and multi-platform performance of all content
• Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze industry dynamics in order to formulate robust and timely strategic planning
• Deliver meaningful in-person and written insights on programming trends, performance, competitive landscape, and audience behavior to inform strategies
• Create thoughtful and innovative research solutions based on the networks’ objectives/requirements
• Partner with Consumer Insights team and also play a role in thought leadership research projects
Basic Qualifications
• 8-10 years of related media research experience
• Expertise with Nielsen data, Rentrak VOD data, Omniture and social media data
• Thorough knowledge of all areas of content measurement
• Bachelor degree or higher
• Experience with leading and developing a team
Additional Qualifications
• Able to turn complex/intricate analyses into clear, easy-to-understand “story-telling” presentations
• Excellent interpersonal skills which will enable candidate to interact with a wide range of personalities/styles and establish effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Self-starter, highly proactive, and collaborative.
• Ability to spearhead a project and thoroughly manage it through to completion
• Experience with data visualization tools a plus
• Knowledge/experience in Consumer Insights a plus.
