Full Time Job
The MTS Sr. Business Analyst reports to a Senior Director within Media and Technology Services’ Employee Systems and Solutions group. This person is responsible for supporting all phases of application development including analysis and design, programming, hardware and software requirements, performing such activities as customer support, user acceptance testing, and customer rollout. There is a significant internal customer and vendor management component to this particular position.
This position is responsible for the development and execution of strategic plans and for the development/acquisition, integration and implementation of information systems that support processes within corporate operations departments.

This position will play a lead role on the following key enterprise collaboration initiatives:
• RecordWise – Information Governance and Records Management solution
• Workplace – Facebook @ Work Rollout, Live Streams
• Employee Mobile Apps
• Office 365 – One Drive, Groups, SharePoint Online
Product Management
• Work with business stakeholders to define product roadmaps
• Define product features/requirements – creation of use cases, mockups, prototypes
• Manage product backlog (User Stories) and prioritization of feature development
• Ownership of product quality and delivery to stakeholders
Business Knowledge, Analysis, and Solution Definition
• Possesses a strong working knowledge of the work processes for assigned area(s) of the business including how systems are used, how information flows, how decisions are made,
• Possesses the aptitude to quickly understand work processes and flows in various business
• Demonstrates good understanding of business needs by accurately documenting business requirements, functional specifications, and workflow
• Partner with business management on defining collaboration solution needs and strategy (near and long term)
• Leads business analysis for the most complex projects that may impact multiple business areas, address complex processes, involve significant process analysis and redesign, apply new technologies and involve the integration of multiple systems.
• Understands how various new technologies can meet business needs, taking into account the business risks and benefits of adopting a new technology.
• Possesses a broad understanding of the systems and technologies in various business areas and their interdependencies
• Document business processes and requirements, functional specs (wireframes, workflow diagrams, visual mockups). Create and document use cases and user experience paths
• Assist in the collection and consolidation of required information and data.
• Engage in research to identify best available systems solutions (gap analysis, 3rd party product analysis, the industry marketplace) and best practices in the industry
• Resolves conflicting/competing needs from different areas of the business, tactfully, and in a way that satisfies all parties.
• Strong business/analytical skills and problem solving abilities.
• Develops a strong understanding of the systems and technologies within the business area(s)
Project Execution
• Define project plans and clearly articulate/document roles, project goals and timelines.
• Manages all aspects of a project, high level project plans, timelines and budget to meet deliverables. Assigns work to project team members, manages project scope and reporting, and ensures the quality of deliverables
• Work in Agile framework (SCRUM) – User Story creation, sprint planning, iterative product delivery
• Work with offshore and onsite developers, project managers/scrum masters, QA and administrator team members to plan and execute delivery. provide direction on business expectations and product improvements
• Work with MTS and other groups to acquire, develop and deploy applications to support all business functions.
• Appropriately and accurately apply comments/feedback from supervisor(s).
• Proactively carry out project support /administrative functions.
• Handle application maintenance and personnel training as needed.
• Responsible for Level 2 support of multiple business applications. Able to resolve basic technical and training issues directly with little or no supervision and/or involve necessary parties for resolution
• Establish responsible deadlines and manage time and business expectation effectively.
• Demonstrate flexibility in day-to-day work and an Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Testing
• Understanding of Internet, cloud technology, and client/server architectures.
• Understanding of QA testing practices and tools
• Ownership of QA and UAT test case creation and/or review based on defined business and functional requirements and definition of done
• Coordinate the execution of test plans (QA and UAT) and subsequent bug fixes, change requests, enhancements.
• Manage QA signoff and UAT signoff for all releases
• Assemble and document all test results, evaluate trends and identify improvement areas
Client and Vendor Management
• Value internal clients and external clients and respond to their needs as they arise.
• Build a strategic partnership with clients to define business needs and how best to solve for them
• Forms productive relationships with internal customers by listening, clarifying, and responding effectively, influencing and advising as appropriate
• Customer Service mentality
• Manage SOWs, contracts, Purchase Orders and Invoicing for project initiatives
Basic Qualifications
• Typical candidates will possess 3 years of relevant experience and BA/BS or equivalent experience; or MS and 1 years of relevant
• Understanding of current business analysis tools
• Understanding of project management methodologies, tools and techniques – including agile and waterfall
Additional Qualifications
• PMP/Agile certification
• Clearly articulate ideas and thoughts verbally and in writing. Ability to communicate in written, oral and presentation formats to best represent and express user and organizational requirements to audiences up to mid-level management.
• Responds and communicates efficiently between the business and MTS groups to facilitate resolution of user issues as and when
• Effectively and proactively clarifies, sets, and manages customer expectations including delivering tough
• Communicates equally effectively in business and technical terms
• Ability to produce and review critical project documentation including RFPs, RFIs, Statements of Work, Project Charters
• Experience in collaboration technologies, developer tools, development methods, systems and programming
• Microsoft Office 365
• Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint 2013, 2016, Online
• MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook/Exchange)
• TFS or JIRA (Agile tools)
• Familiarity with video streaming and asset management
