Overview and Responsibilities
The Manager, FP&A is a key role in the Corporate, Financial Planning & Analysis team. This team directly supports the Viacom CFO and Viacom EVP, Financial Operations by providing insight and analysis around Viacom’s future earnings expectations. The team owns the company-wide budget, estimate, and monthly outlook planning process and produces highly visible deliverables, including the bi-monthly Board of Directors presentation.
Basic Qualifications
• Project manager for all financial deliverables for Board of Directors Meetings. Structure PowerPoint document, link to Excel files, coordinate all input and craft story behind the numbers. Work with the CFO, Operational and Corporate FP&A teams, and visual designer
• Own consolidated reporting for the Filmed Entertainment and Viacom International Media Networks business segments, serving as the main corporate contact for commentary and analysis on all consolidated deliverables
• Manage the budget and estimate submission process, serving as the main FP&A contact for the corporate HFM planning system (including validating divisional submissions and posting journal entries)
• Maintain strong relationships with key contacts within the divisional finance and system operations groups
• Manage ad-hoc requests made by senior management in a timely manner
• Support Competitive Analysis initiatives, including the expansion of our competitive intelligence database and deep-dive presentations
• Continually improve FP&A deliverables and processes
Additional Qualifications
• 5 years of Financial Planning & Analysis experience, with Media & Entertainment experience a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Finance/Accounting preferred
• Extremely strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Experience interacting with and presenting to executive leadership
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to synthesize large amounts of data and garner insight
• MBA/CPA a plus
• HFM, Longview systems experience a plus
• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills, including both written & verbal skills
