Manager, Digital Traffic (AD Operations)
Overview and Responsibilities
The Digital Commercial Operations/Network Traffic Manager will be responsible for executing direct-sold as well programmatic and other cross-network advertising campaigns and initiatives. This role will collaborate with various teams to effectively manage the delivery of ad campaigns across a network of well-established websites for world recognized brands. In addition, the Digital Commercial Operations/Network Traffic Manager will serve as a technical and project management lead for the department, aiding in decision-making regarding systems, process improvements, and training. Working across multiple teams within the media business, daily responsibilities will include:
• Execute interactive advertising campaigns and sponsorships across multiple platforms using Fivia’s Ad Front, Google’s DoubleClick for Publishers (DFP), and FreeWheel’s MRM video ad management technology.
• Manage the execution of programmatic and other cross-network campaigns using Google’s DoubleClick Ad Exchange (AdX), Rubicon, and various other partner platforms.
• Partner with sales, site production & development, pricing & inventory, and marketing teams to optimize campaign performance based on client KPIs.
• Work closely with internal product and sales teams as well as external vendors to Q/A and launch new products and technology and onboard new rich media vendors across brands.
• Ensure creative adheres to technical specifications, including thorough testing and troubleshooting all 3rd party rich media and video to run successfully and accurately on the various sites and network platforms.
• Help develop reference/training materials and train new hires.
• Strive for constant efficiency through out of the box thinking.
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years ad trafficking experience with a major commercial or in-house ad serving system (DFP & MRM a plus).
• Bachelor’s degree.
Additional Qualifications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to converse with site managers and developers as well as account executives and clients/agencies to address client and sales needs in an expedient and courteous manner.
• Ability to handle heavy workload, mediating many demands and requests with strong problem-solving drive in a team-oriented atmosphere.
• Smart, proactive, and a quick learner with organizational agility and strong attention to detail while maintaining a client service focus.
• Demonstrated excellent computer skills (especially with Microsoft Excel).
• Familiarity with front end order management systems (Fivia’s Ad Front a plus).
• Working knowledge of HTML/HTML5, flash VAST, VPAID, JavaScript, and other video and rich media technologies
