The Director of Nickelodeon Project Management, Animation is responsible for the project management of all marketing and creative promotion for the animated properties on the Nickelodeon network. This will include work produced for on-air, off-channel, print, digital and social and will entail working closely across creative, programming, show production, marketing and other groups to provide clear and concise planning and communication in order to ensure the successful execution of assignments. Position reports to Vice President, Project Management, Nickelodeon Marketing/Creative.
Responsibilities
• Primary point of project management contact for all creative execution in support of launching, franchise, and other high priority animated properties on Nickelodeon. This can include:
• On-Air Promotion
• Marketing (Off-Channel, Digital, Print and Out Of Home)
• Design (Logos, Launch Kits and Key Art)
• Digital Executions (Site Launches, quizzes, polls)
• Social Media & Press
• Build and maintain strong relations with show EICs and creators, creative and marketing leads and other key stakeholders across the network.
• Manage, direct, mentor and collaborate with one direct report, assigning and evaluating work as needed and ensuring their growth and success.
• Understand the strategy behind the project management processes and identify optimization areas as needed while providing unique insights into how the processes can be improved.
• Responsible for reviewing creative briefs and understanding the creative and business goals of each project.
• Work with creative teams and stakeholders to provide working timelines for all projects and to update and communicate updates to these timelines as necessary.
• Responsible for routing work to stakeholders and compiling and communicating feedback in a constructive and concise manner between stakeholders and creative teams.
• Schedule, attend prepare for and participate in various meetings: status, kick-offs, presentations, reviews, etc .
• Maintain weekly status report for all assigned projects
• Update server with all necessary project documents/schedules/creative files
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 8-10 years of project management or production management experience in a television network capacity.
Additional Qualifications
• Excellent understanding of production methodologies and best practices, with specific experience in video, design, social, print and digital production
• Previous managerial experience of teams and/or direct reports
• Exceptional organizational & communication skills
• Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
