Overview and Responsibilities
The position responsible for solving business problems supporting VMN’s various global financial planning & reporting systems. This portfolio includes, but is not limited to Financial planning, reporting and consolidation tools such as Longview and HFM. The candidate will have background of working in a technology team interfacing with clients from accounting or finance groups. As an experienced Business Analyst, this position will define project scope by working closely with domestic and international business stakeholders to identify, clearly articulate and prioritize requirements while driving process optimization and improvements. The candidate will manage all aspects of business needs analysis by consulting with stakeholders to determine how best to support the business through the effective use of technology. The candidate may manage some or all phases of cross functional projects.
Primary Responsibilities
• Lead business analysis activities for medium scale projects that may impact multiple business areas
• Develop project plans, manage the project schedule and budget to meet deliverables, assign work to project staff, manage the scope and reporting, and ensure quality of the deliverables
• Assist in evaluating new technologies that may enable business success
• Ensure system and business requirements are met by monitoring available metrics and collecting feedback post-implementation
• Ensure that ongoing support for installed systems is provided to the business
• Meet with senior business partners on a periodic basis and provide status updates/feedback
• Train user groups in application functionality
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum five years combined experience at administration, business requirement analysis for building or supporting finance applications.
• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology or related area is preferred.
Additional Qualifications
• Graduate degree or MBA is a plus.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to work as a team or independently.
• Business analysis and documentation experience required.
• Understanding of accounting concepts.
