Overview and Responsibilities
the Analyst, Platform Sales will be responsible for maximizing advertising revenue and yield across Viacom Media Networks Digital Portfolio of Brands [INCLUDING MTV, VH1, COMEDYCENTRAL, AND NICKELODEON]. The ANALYST will work across multiple sales channels, including Digital Video, Digital Display, Mobile Video, Mobile Display, Multi-platform/Convergent, and Programmatic. The ideal candidate will be a highly strategic individual who possesses strong quantitative & analytical skills, inherent curiosity in the digital media space, and a desire to learn in a fast-paced industry.
Basic Qualifications
• Manage the analysis and periodic reporting for key Platform Sales metrics including; revenue, yield, capacity and viewability across multiple sales channels including; Video, Display, Native and Social
• Optimally monetize Viacom Media Networks online media and exceed VMN Networks goals for ad revenue and revenue per impression on all digital platforms
• Produce dashboards to review yield performance on a regular basis and adjust pricing strategies accordingly
• Work with inventory & delivery teams to effectively forecast supply & demand
• Accurately forecast & report pacing against revenue goals
Additional Qualifications
• BA/BS in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics or other analytically and quantitatively focused field
• Must possess very strong analytic, strategic problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Demonstrate proficiency in mathematical calculations and spreadsheet-based analysis
• Knowledge of DFP, FreeWheel, Supply Side Platforms and other ad-serving platforms and rich media vendors a plus
• Familiarity on Omniture Site Catalyst, comScore, Nielsen and other online marketing audience measurement database a plus
• Strong communication and client relationship skills; ability to publicly present ideas and share information
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, employees, external clients and 3rd party vendors
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to manage and prioritize the needs of multiple customers
• Must have advanced-level MS Excel proficiency
• 2 years of relevant experience in an analytical role: Finance/Banking, Consulting or Media
