Overview and Responsibilities
Responsible for the accurate and timely analysis, reporting and accounting of Viacom International Media Networks (“VIMN”) consolidated financial results for internal management financial reporting.
Basic Qualifications
• Perform day to day accounting for certain VIMN centralized businesses including accruals and balance sheet reconciliations, helping to build out and enhance the function to be best in class.
• Consolidate, review and analyze financial submissions from international operations, working with individuals globally.
• Provide meaningful financial analysis and commentary of actual results.
• Support currency reporting and analysis under ASC 830.
• Record journal entries using VMN’s system (SAP/Longview).
• Work with external auditors during quarterly and year end reviews/audits by preparing information requests and addressing inquires.
• Assist with ad hoc Viacom and internal management requests.
• Other duties as assigned.
Additional Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA (or equivalent) preferred.
• Minimum 3 years relevant work experience preferably straight public accounting/public & private
• Proven experience auditing/performing accounting cycles and overall financial statement analysis. Practical experience with ASC 830 is helpful.
• Excellent communication skills (oral, written & listening) across multiple levels and geographic
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Self-starter with the ability to take initiative, be proactive and follow through.
• Commitment to learning and self-improvement.
• Comfortable using MS Office.
• Experience in Longview and SAP a plus.
• Prior entertainment & media experience a plus.
