Overview and Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operational requirements of the International Home Entertainment, Interactive and Publishing lines of business for Nickelodeon | Viacom Consumer Products. Support the creation and localization of various content driven consumer products such as DVDs, Videogames, Books and Electronic Learning Aides. Serve as the key brand ambassador to partners all around the world and ensure we continue to bring best-in-class product to our fans everywhere!
Manage the preparation, delivery, approval, collection and storage of all required assets to create and/or market international DVDs, Books, Video Games and Electronic Learning Aides
• Manage the preparation, delivery, approval, collection and storage of all required assets to create and/or market international DVDs, Books, Video Games and Electronic Learning Aides
• Oversee the monetization of assets from solicitation of newly available assets to the administration of rate card/fees and invoicing
• Design and execute cost effective and timely workflows to service a high volume of licensing deals
• Develop original product and/ or marketing materials
• Support partners with regular communication and troubleshoot all relevant issues
• Review all creative submissions and manage the approval process
• Manage production budget and all relevant invoice related tasks
• Work with international operations teams and partners all around the world to source various creative assets and production materials
• Drive the DVD mastering process, troubleshoot issues and manage 3rd party vendors
• Service deals and distribute materials as needed to execute release plans
• Prepare product specs, localization materials, screeners, and asset requests as needed
• Work as the main point of contact for all production related issues with all of our partners
• Work with international programming to coordinate the audio delivery for all content on our releases.
• Work with internal teams to utilize in-house systems to minimize cost & time
• Oversee product localization process and create all assets for scale—work closely with local teams to ensure assets satisfy needs
• Maintain archives and databases for each product line
• Review schedules and identify opportunities or challenges
• Coordinate the storage and delivery of sample shipments
• Write creative briefs and kick off the creation of any necessary design work for product packaging or marketing materials
• Attend weekly status meeting and represent product lines
• Track content – discover available episodes, marketing assets, and bonus content (if applicable)
• Review Programming & Digital Plans – identify any opportunity for a tie-in
• Manage approvals of art development – route through key stakeholders and provide feedback
• Evaluate, store and deliver all design mechanicals as requested
• Review, route and coordinate the approval of all product submissions sent by licensees.
• Develop original product and/ or marketing materials
• Establish a content distribution strategy to maximize resources and sync up with broader initiatives
• Develop a cohesive release strategy and schedule
• Troubleshoot scheduling issues and ensure release dates are not jeopardized
• Work with Nickelodeon Creative Resources and our Licensee to create retail or territory specific product line looks
• Provide feedback and approval of all marketing materials (i.e. POS, Ads, Promotions, etc.)
• Research existing assets and repurpose for the needs of the department
• Post Release – discover and share consumer feedback with team
• Manage yearly production budget
• Negotiate rates with vendors
• Cut all purchase orders and troubleshoot internal & external issues
• Prepare and submit ancillary invoices
• Review, approve and track all production expenses.
• Prep cost estimates and perform analysis for new business
• Create and manage the production budget for each release.
Basic Qualifications
• 3 – 5 years experience working at a media company; preferably on a Home Entertainment, Publishing or Interactive team
• Project Management/Video /Post-Production experience is ideal
• Experience focused on Licensed content: i.e-Home Entertainment, Video Games, etc.
• Bachelor’s Degree required- Marketing Business Operations background is a plus!
Additional Qualifications
• Should be able to drive multiple projects at one time
• Ability to lead or contribute to complex projects and develop solutions
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Final Cut Studio
• Basic Knowledge of Filemaker Pro
• Post production experience, a plus
• Speak another language, a plus
• Strong project management and problem solving skills
• Excellent written and oral communications proficiencies
• Expert in various forms of file delivery
• Knowledge of video production workflows
