Are you looking to build a career in Journalism? You can get the experience you need while getting paid at Variety. Internships can last up to twenty-six weeks. We are currently hiring reporting interns to expand their skills while participating alongside the Variety team.
Interns get hands-on reporting experience and great clips writing for variety.com, our weekly Variety magazine - the showbiz bible. Interns will also get to cover galas, premieres and other red carpet events. There will be some weekend or evening work, for which you will be paid extra.
The Variety internship program exposes college students and recent graduates to all aspects of the entertainment business in a friendly, respectful environment.
Qualifications:
• Must be available for a minimum of 24-30 hours per week (scheduling flexible).
• Must be currently enrolled or recently graduated (within 2 to 3 years) from an accredited college or university. Journalism majors strongly preferred.
• Must be able to manage your own tasks and deadlines.
• Must have a high technical aptitude and working knowledge of Internet and software applications, including Microsoft Office products.
• Must have excellent written and verbal skills and a very high attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a team player attitude.
Salary: Interns are paid $10.00 per hour.
