Valerie Allen's PR professionals have developed and executed marketing and publicity campaigns for individual actors, comedians, recording artists, and authors. In addition, we have also provided strategic counsel to a wide variety of high-profile individuals and corporate clients looking to raise brand awareness or manage public crises.
We deliver thoughtful stories to the media on our clients' behalf and introduce them to the global arena in order to raise awareness towards causes that matter.
Internship Description: Public relations boutique with premier/celebrity clients is looking for an intern. The ideal candidate will have some PR experience, be proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel, be detail oriented, have excellent organizational & phone skills, an overall ''can do'' attitude, the ability to think ahead, work independently, stay organized, solve problems, and effectively prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment. You will not be fetching coffee in this internship, but will be gaining invaluable PR knowledge that will benefit you for future jobs. Internship is for school credit only and potentially a letter of recommendation.
Additional Information:
Ideal candidates will be available to start as soon as possible. Program typically lasts 3 months, with the opportunity to extend. Internship is part-time and unpaid; meant to give students the opportunity to gain raw public relations experience both in the office and out in the field, build and maintain contacts within the public relations and media industries, and earn a strong letter of recommendation from a highly respected publicist and business woman.
QUALIFICATIONS
Looking for someone with:
Strong written and Verbal communication skills
Professional Phone Etiquette
Must be Reliable, Motivated, and Organized
Mac OSX and Windows
Computer Literate in Word, Excel,
Familiar with Cision or Similar PR Software
Multi-Tasking Capabilities
Close Attention to Detail
