VStar Entertainment Group, with its years of experience, innovative production, and strategic partnerships is uniquely positioned to expand as a leader in the live entertainment, production services and mascot industries.
Primary Objective of Position:
Serve as overall campaign manager and external liaison to the venue and the market for the presentation of VStar Entertainment Group engagements. Create, plan, sell, execute, and continually evaluate multi-media sales and marketing campaigns designed to generate maximum ticket sales.
Major Areas of Accountability:
1. Develop overall marketing strategy for each assigned engagement, including advertising plans, promotional campaigns, sponsorship development and any other strategies supporting ticket sales of tours like Sesame Street Live, Discover the Dinosaurs UNLEASHED and PAW Patrol Live!.
2. Negotiate paid advertising buys, trades and promotions with all primary media for best overall value and most competitive rates to enhance and promote assigned engagements, with input and approval as appropriate from venue partners.
3. Work in conjunction with Booking Manager to establish ticket pricing, scaling, discounting and performance scheduling and coordinate any other fees or charges which must be consistent with overall corporate policy and procedure. Consult with Operations department as needed.
4. Maintain an understanding of the contractual agreements for each engagement, such as rental vs. co-pro contracts, box office charges, facilities fees, etc. Consult with Booking Department as needed.
5. Establish a good working relationship with venue partners, media sales representative and third party vendors.
6. Understanding of social media and digital marketing such as banner ad placement, Facebook boosted posts, etc.
7. Proof website listings, graphic requests, and press releases to follow proper licensing brand guidelines and accuracy.
8. Pursue additional trades with secondary media to supplement advertising/promotion schedules.
9. Oversee group sales campaigns, Groupon or secondary ticketing relationships for each engagement to ensure a timely and integrated sales effort.
10. Work with VStar publicists to support news coverage to enhance the marketing campaign for each engagement. Attend publicity appearances and serve as spokesperson as assigned.
11. Coordinate engagement activities with road staff, including but not limited to promotional events, final advertising settlement, publicities, group events and any venue requirements in conjunction with these efforts. Attend engagements as appropriate.
12. Reconcile all advertising invoices, affidavits and tearsheets required for finalizing budgets and compile a comprehensive recap of advertising for presentation to Company Manager at show settlement.
13. Generate a complete recap of marketing campaign for assigned engagements at the conclusion of each run.
14. Conduct on-site meetings when necessary in the local market in order to develop a marketing campaign tailored to market characteristics; including demographics, market history, buying trends and the current competitive landscape. Research, identify and meet with key venue personnel, appropriate media representatives, potential sponsors, third party tie-ins, and any other influential community sources to maximize marketing and ticket sales efforts. Plan travel schedules, with approval from supervisor, in a timely and economical manner and according to VStar Entertainment Group travel policies.
15. Research, pursue and secure cash and promotional sponsors for individual engagements. Execute sponsorship agreements and reconcile necessary back-up.
16. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
17. Assist Senior Director of Marketing with special projects as assigned, including but not limited to: sales forecasting and budgeting, PBS Buy-Out strategies, sponsorship support, sales spreadsheets and reports, market research, etc.
Requirements:
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field
2. Minimum of 4 years' experience in marketing. Entertainment industry marketing a plus.
3. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, building strong relationships, performing market research and developing promotional strategy in a manner consistent with the image and goals of VStar Entertainment Group.
4. Ability to prioritize a wide variety of projects, quickly adapt to change and perform in a fast-paced deadline driven environment exhibiting consistency and productive time management.
5. Able and willing to travel as required performing all aspects of the position and representing VStar Entertainment Group in a professional manner.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a positive ''can do'' attitude and meticulous attention to detail.
