VStar produces hundreds of projects per year for clients ranging from Advertising Agencies in the Experiential world, to Target and General Mills in the Corporate marketplace, to the NBA and Fox Sports in the world of Sports, to Universal Studios Japan and Royal Caribbean International in Entertainment.

Primary Objective of Position:
To administratively assist and support Marketing Managers, Senior Marketing Managers, Senior Director of Marketing and Senior Vice President of Booking and Marketing in all aspects of marketing, promotion and communications for VStar Entertainment Group touring shows such as Sesame Street Live, Discover the Dinosaurs UNLEASHED and PAW Patrol Live!. To shadow and eventually take on as overall campaign manager and external liaison to the venue for specific markets.
Major Areas of Accountability:
Under Supervision of the Senior Director of Marketing:
1. Shadow Marketing Managers and learn to develop overall marketing strategy for each assigned engagement, including advertising plans, promotional campaigns, and any other strategies supporting ticket sales of VStar shows.
2. Learn to negotiate paid advertising buys, trades and promotions with all primary media for best overall value and most competitive rates to enhance and promote assigned engagements, with input and approval as appropriate.
3. Maintain an understanding of the contractual agreements for each engagement, such as rental vs. co-pro contracts, box office charges, facilities fees, etc. Consult with Booking Department as needed.
4. Complete required paperwork for engagement in a timely manner, including, Media Buy Worksheet, Letters of Agreement, Promo Summary and Market Tracker and submit for approval when necessary.
5. Coordinate engagement activities with road staff, including but not limited to promotional events, final advertising settlement, publicities, group events and any venue requirements in conjunction with these efforts.
6. Reconcile all advertising invoices, affidavits and tearsheets required for finalizing budgets and compile a comprehensive recap of advertising and promotions for presentation to Company Manager at show settlement.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Provide Marketing Managers daily assistance with correspondence, reports, summaries, phone calls, travel, etc.
2. Coordinate advertising trade and group sales campaigns.
3. Research, coordinate and fulfill promotional and grassroots activities.
4. Provide correspondence and assistance to venues.
5. Coordinate and participate in special projects, events or functions where support services are required.
6. Lead local marketing efforts for Facebook and act as liaison to local market bloggers.
7. Complete other assignments as requested.
Performance Criteria:
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field
2. Minimum of 2 - 3 years' experience in marketing. Entertainment industry marketing a plus.
3. Ability to:
a) Quickly ''switch gears'' and adapt to change.
b) Prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
c) Perform in a fast-paced, short-deadline environment under minimal supervision.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a positive ''can do'' attitude and meticulous attention to detail.
5. Proficient in software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and other database management tools.
6. Resourceful in researching on the Internet.
7. Understands social media including Facebook and Twitter posting.
8. Willing to pro-actively pitch in and help others.
