Our Costumes & Creatures Division is seeking freelance costume crafts artisans in our Minneapolis production facility that creates mascots, marketing characters and costume props. These positions include development of costume designs into three-dimensional pieces (primarily the heads and feet) using foams, fur, fabric, fur, metal and plastics; pattern documentation for duplication of costume pieces; and costume construction. The successful candidate needs an energetic, creative, and analytical mind with a passion for problem solving and pursuing developing technologies related to costume production.
• Must be able to work both independently and interactively in a team environment across departments.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in costume production and/or academic training specific to costume crafts.
• Intermediate to advanced hand sewing and machine sewing skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately.
