Search for International Sales Director jobs in Los Angeles-CA
VMI Worldwide, a Hollywood based film production company and international sales agent, is seeking a full time International Sales Director to start immediately. This is a short-term position (4 to 5 months) that could potentially develop into a long-term position.
This position is responsible for sales in multiple Foreign Territories across different distribution outlets including Theatrical, DVD, Television, and new media across the company's catalogs.
VMI recently signed an output deal with the major North American releasing company CINEDIGM to produce 4 to 5 cast and genre driven pictures per year.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years international sales experience is a must.
- International Sales Experience and Established relations with buyers in the following territories: Latin America, France, Spain, Italy, Middle East, Turkey and South East Asia. Maintaining good relations with the major broadcasters and distributors of the assigned territories.
- Ability to contribute to new market development and identify opportunities.
- International and Domestic Market attendance (NATPE, EFM, MIPTV, Cannes Film Festival, MIPCOM, AFM, etc.)
- Must be able to work effectively under deadlines and pressure and interface effectively with various departments
- Pre-sales Experience based on script/cast attachment is preferable.
- Well organized, Ability to effectively organize time & workload to meet deadlines, team player, high level of initiative and drive.
- North America buyers/market knowledge is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Closing licensing agreements across all media and across all the company's catalogs in respective territories.
-Overseeing all license agreements in the assigned territories from initiating interest via pitching through to closing, contracting and payment.
- Reviewing new projects/films as and when required and providing detailed forecasting for all assigned territories as requested.
- Assisting devising and revising marketing and sales strategies for all content.
- Maintaining and developing relationships with international distributors.
- Preparing pitches, promoting the catalogue represented by the Company specific to availability and client requirements
Skills and Experience Required:
-Proficiency in a second language would be an advantage.
-Proven sales experience within International markets.
-Comprehensive knowledge of the film environment including specific foreign - market knowledge.
- Preferred proficiency in Filmtrack, Excel and Microsoft Office
- International travel is required, flexibility is a major plus
