As a VER Rental Agent, you will be responsible for the successful management of key accounts along with supporting our growing new customer database. This position requires strong production and event knowledge, excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise closely with clients and internal technical support personnel. In addition to working with VER's proprietary software system, this position requires internal management of logistics including inter-office equipment transfers, freight tracking, equipment knowledge and servicing customer expectations.
This demanding but rewarding position does offer on the job training, increased product knowledge along with advancement opportunities.
Job Duties:
Responsible for the management of Video Equipment Rentals (VER) rental orders and clients including the following:
•Manage rentals for VER clients from start to finish. Will utilize discretion and independent judgment in order to create competitive quotes, transfer equipment from other branches and assist customers in analyzing their rental needs.
•Have pricing discretion and will be expected to analyze the ability to make profit on a specific rental, understanding strategic needs as they arise.
•Utilize specialized technical experience in broadcast, AV and computer in order to specify equipment and write rental orders, up selling various product lines and providing equipment options to clients.
•You will be expected to work a designated schedule, with minimum supervision.
•Provide exemplary ''can do'' service for both internal and external clients. Customer service attitude, ''How can I help you/''
•As appropriate, participate with inside proactive sales by contacting customers in our existing and new industries, telling them about VER and encouraging them to rent from our team.
•Follow up, paperwork and administration related to finalizing rental orders.
•Participate in branch on call rotation as necessary.
Skills:
•Billing/closing rental orders accurately and in a timely manner.
•Must learn VER rental software and processes.
•Excellent communication skills.
•Business development acumen and high level of computer literacy.
•Bilingual is a plus+
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have 3+ years in AV rental or broadcast industry in a sales or project management position. Must have working knowledge of all types of AV and broadcast equipment. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. A technical, sales or management degree is preferred.
Weekend and after hours ''on-call'' support may be required. Salary & benefits commensurate with experience. Inquiries will be handled in the strictest of confidence.
