Projection QC Technician
Full Time Job
To QC and repair projectors from all major brands including Barco, Christie, Panasonic, NEC and more in accordance with company standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
Local and regional quality control in accordance with company standards
Regional repair of projection products as required
Technical support to both end users and staff
Technical support to regional offices, sometimes including minimal travel
After hours technical support
Maintain local part, and consumable inventory to supply regional offices
Must have 2 or more years of experience within the entertainment industry and be familiar with the live production environment. Professional communication skills, both verbal and written a must. Complex problem solving via telephone will be necessary. The ability to interpret problem descriptions to real world solutions a must.
Associates degree, or higher
2 years minimum entertainment or related industry experience
Familiarity with projection products and their application
Live and broadcast production experience
Aptitude for rapid adaptation to a situation
Certifications from Barco, Christie, Panasonic, NEC or other projector product manufactures beneficial
Experience and understanding of portable power system as used in the entertainment industry
Regular after hours support can be expected. Weekend requirements can arise suddenly, and will be expected to be fulfilled when necessary. Highly demanding personalities can be encountered and will be expected to be handled in a professional manner at all times. Occasional need to go to the end users location will be necessary. Safe handling and disposal of high pressure vessels will be necessary.
Requirement to stand and walk for long periods of time during the day can be expected. Heavy lifting is a regular occurrence. Physical activity in a warehouse environment in proximity to machinery will be constant.
