Overall Role Description
The regional rentals manager is responsible for the performance of the local branch rental agents in their assigned region. The region will incorporate 4-6 offices, and typically 10-15 rental agents. Overall goal is ensure goal is to enhance sales and customer service for the entire region. This position will report to the Executive Direct of Sales - Corporate AV.
Specific Responsibilities
•Work within a specific VER region to ensure the successful maintenance and growth of local rental revenue
•Is the leader of all the Rental Agents and Sales Support Agents, supporting them to foster new and lasting client relationships as well as enhance existing client relationships.
•Responsible for ensuring rental agents and sales support agents receive appropriate training, in line with the national training initiative
•Receive and manage client data from the VER accounting and analysis department to identify positive and negative customer spending trends. They will work closely with a Regional Director of Sales and outside sales reps to address any issues
•Ensure the Rental Agents in the branch office are responsive and attentive to all client requests, including quote follow-up and price negotiations based on the local market's competition.
•Ensure that rental agents are working closely with the Director of Branch Operations in each branch to address any service issues within the offices. Step in to collectively address major issues
•Act as a coach and mentor to all rental agents in region
•Support any new sales leads that come into the region, jointly with the outside sales agents (to be determined)
Expected cadence and distribution of responsibilities
•Act in current capacity as a rental agent (<50% of time, as needed)
•Ensuring there is a lead for certain administrative tasks, and that the lead completes the tasks
- Turndown Report in each branch
- Local event database in each branch
- TBD
•Hold a weekly team meeting to address the open order report (described below)
•Distribute a team dashboard based on the weekly activity report (described below)
•Hold a monthly team meeting to address team performance
•Meet with individual rental agents quarterly or bi-annually to review their performance. Help create a plan to address any issues and reinforce best practices
•Meet with outside sales team on a monthly/quarterly basis to discuss overall region performance. Also to get feedback on rental agent performance.

Reports to distribute and manage
•Weekly Activity report- for each agent, a list of orders that were on the books: beginning, number executed, number added/written, and number cancelled in a given week
•Weekly Open order report- a review for each agent of all the open orders in the future (quote, reserved, confirmed). Distributed and used to follow-up activity
•Monthly Revenue report- for each agent, the total revenue and invoices generated in a month
•Others
