Job purpose:
Perform testing of parts, components and PC boards in support of field and related issues and problems. Set up, calibrate, test and troubleshoot circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Test and troubleshoot assemblies and/or final systems. Support generating detailed reports regarding testing outcomes. Support and participate in the analysis, repair of semi-routine circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Read and translate diagrams and schematics. Be able to solder surface mount devices using current technology. Provide component level repair utilizing oscilloscopes, frequency counters, DVM test tools. Perform setup of LED systems including mechanical, electrical, networking, control and computer elements.
Primary Job Duties:
Perform repairs on electronic PC boards and equipment - 50%
Setup, troubleshoot, test video wall systems - 30%
Inventory, test and validate operations of spare parts and equipment, 20%
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
-Associates Degree in Electronics
-1-3 year experience with electronic repairs
-Strong manual soldering ability with a focus on surface mount technology.
-Ability to troubleshoot electronic assemblies to the component level.
-Strong knowledge on the usage of oscilloscopes, DVM, signal generators and other commonly used test equipment and instruments.
-Basic understanding of computer networking
-Perform tasks with limited supervision.
Working conditions:
-Flexible work schedule, may include weekends and holidays. May include early morning shift and or evening shifts.
-Able to work in nom AC cooled warehouse conditions.
-Valid Passport
-Some travel may be required
Physical requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching, throughout day. The employee must frequently lift and move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
