Creative Services Assistant
Job: 16-06/ Opened July 1, 2016
Sacramento's leading Spanish-language TV station is seeking a Creative Services Assistant. The Creative Services Assistant will be responsible for the production of a variety of different materials for on-air ranging from promo spots, special programs, segments, and PSA's based on assigned projects etc. The CSA must possess the creative and technical skills necessary to produce effective, quality material, ready for air, and have the ability to take charge of coordinating and executing all aspects of a production. The CSA will work directly with Creative Services Director and/or Producers on administrative duties, execution of station promotions and events. Individual needs to have a ''can do'' attitude and an excellent ''on the field'' judgment. Must be able to effectively work well under pressure to meet deadlines, and work with/for colleagues in different departments toward a common goal while maintaining a high degree of professionalism. The CSA must be able to work station sponsored events as needed.
Minimum Qualifications for Consideration
Education: College degree or equivalent work experience
Experience: 1 year work experience in television or production required.
Basic Skills: Working knowledge of professional broadcast equipment, from studio cameras, and audio equipment. INEWS, Avid Newscutter, Vizrt Graphics, Avid Non-linear editing and production switcher knowledge preferred. Must have knowledge of Microsoft and Mac programs as Word and excel Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, illustrator.
The CSA must be detail-oriented and exceptionally well organized, have good people skills, a positive, can-do attitude, take initiative, be a problem-solver and be able to work in a team. Must possess strong communication and organizational skills with solid show/material judgment. Requires knowledge of the Hispanic format, community, and traditions. Must have the ability to work flexible schedule including early morning hours, and weekends.
Language Skills: Bilingual Spanish/English. High Fluency in Spanish (oral and written). A solid writing skill in Spanish is a must.
*Applicants must have a valid California Driver's license, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record
Physical Requirements: Ability to drive, stand, walk and sit for up to 8 hours. Must be able to carry up to 45 lbs.
