We have an immediate opportunity for a full time Site Producer within the Universal Sports Digital Media Group. This is a dynamic and highly-creative position that is responsible for the editing, production and daily operations of UniversalSports com, as well as providing support to the video production group in a producer/editor function. The Site Producer will work closely with internal staff, corporate partners and vendors to deliver an innovative and compelling interactive experience for fans of Universal Sports.
We are a Fork-based full HD Final Cut Pro production facility. When wearing the ''hat'' of a Producer/Editor, the Site Producer will have a clear vision for conceptualizing, developing and executing innovative, original content and highlights. The ideal candidate will understand the concept of storytelling with a digital focus and be responsible for collaborating on ideas across all mediums (digital, mobile, social and linear broadcast).
Qualified candidates will have the following:
• Bachelor's degree required. Communications, Journalism or Public Relations degree preferred but not required
• 3-5 years digital production/programming work experience
• Newspaper, magazine or another form of editing experience preferred
• Sports background is preferred, with an interest in Olympic-based sports
• Strong digital knowledge in the areas of editorial and video programming, related tools and technologies including Wordpress, Photoshop, basic HTML, social media, etc.
• Proficient producer capable of a least shooting with a 2nd camera and offline editing in Final Cut Pro
• Familiarity with multiple file formats and frame rates (both SD and HD) and working knowledge of encoding for web upload and delivery
• Flexibility in work schedules, as occasionally events occur on nights/weekends
Responsibilities:
• Handling the homepage presentation, as well as various event sections, etc.
• Contributing and editing editorial content, sourcing and managing of freelancers, developing and executing original video content packages
• Coordinating content across internal stakeholders (marketing, sales, etc.) to create unique packages as events develop
• Day-to-day editing of UniversalSports com, including:
o Writing headline, caption and teaser copy
o Choosing compelling videos and photos
o Editing content for grammar and style
• Implementing daily video highlights content budget; coordinate with internal teams to create weekly and longer-term content plans
• Assist with the delivery of syndicated/partner content, when necessary |
