Position Overview:
The Marketing Associate assists the Marketing Managers and Directors while helping to market and increase sales for Universal Sports. The Marketing Associate has the ability to interface with internal constituencies (sales, management, research, and programming) in order to secure requisite input/approvals for business opportunities. The Marketing Associate has the ability to interface with external customers (advertisers, agencies) and translate the needs of the target brand into ''sellable'' programs that generate revenue for the above properties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Analyze product categories to develop opportunities
• Customize presentations for client calls
• Develop and execute promotional concepts for use by the sales force
• Liaison with production to develop and execute sold sponsor elements
• Development and execution of all Marketing collateral materials, including premiums, digital mailers, sales videos, and print creative
• Interface with sales personnel and translate their needs into marketing materials
• Execution of promotional programs, which include internal meetings and off-site events
• Manage day to day sponsor elements and executables for all three properties for the sales force
Qualifications:
• 1-2 relevant internships or 6 months - 1 year of network or cable sales marketing experience
• Bachelor's Degree from accredited University
• Must be 18 years or older.
Desired Qualifications:
• Business writing skills including presentation development
• Understanding of the creative development process
• Familiarity with the development and execution of promotions
• Understanding of the promotion development and execution process and experience executing promotions.
• Strong interpersonal skills - with internal and external clients
• Knowledge of media marketing, the sales process and media in general
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Photoshop
