Details: Position Overview:
At Universal Sports, the Programming Assistant reports directly to the Director of Programming to assist in the daily operation of the department. This is an entry-level position.

Duties and Responsibilities (75%):
• Create and revise daily program schedule.
• Research USN programming to ensure correct dates, locations and names of future events.
• Create and revise all bug information & deko numbers with Operations.
• Create and maintain master numbers list.
• Create and maintain program numbers list.
• Coordinate with Operations on all line up and deko revisions.
• Coordinate with Traffic and Operations on all show number changes.
• Generate text for on-air programming line up graphic slates.
• Create text for NOW+NEXT graphic crawls.
• Post line-ups and dekos to Basecamp.
• QC Line Ups.

Other Duties and Responsibilities (25%):
• Assist in acquiring new programming.
• Research content opportunities.
• Set up meetings with content providers.
• Screen content.
• Track content.
• Additional projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong Computer Skills that includes Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• 1 – 2 years experience as an assistant.
• Must be extremely detail-oriented and well organized.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while successfully meeting established deadlines.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
