JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Summary:
VP Streaming will initiate, execute and manage streaming opportunities across UMGD and UMG to achieve new and optimal sales and marketing goals across all label groups (owned and associated) and account teams. This position will interact with UMGD Direct Marketing/CRM, label and field marketing, Partnership Marketing, and Sales to create new opportunities that include, but are not limited to, playlists, merchandising, marketing, promotions, and commercial partner sales. This is a critical role that will help take streaming to the next level to increase potential revenue.
Job Functions:
• Build, increase and manage streaming revenue
• Analyze P&L's associated with new ideas
• Strategize, create, manage new promotional opportunities around merchandising,
positioning, marketing, placement
o Create new playlisting ideas and execute
o Identify any programming needs and create plans to implement
• Liaise with UMGD departments listed above with streaming opportunities
o Be involved with activities around VP's of Commerce (commercial partner opportunities)
o Interact with Direct Marketing/CRM and Partnership Development
• Analyze, communicate, and leverage streaming ideas, trends, successes, opportunities,
best practices to UMGD, UMG and labels
• Act as streaming expert at UMGD and UMG
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with streaming services
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Qualifications:
• Strong hands-on streaming experience with major accounts (Spotify primarily), at least 2 years
• Strong business acumen and results-oriented
• Sales and budgeting experience and knowledge, with solid understanding of P&L's
• Proven knowledge of sales and marketing strategies and concepts
• Solid marketing experience (at least 3 years)
• Strong understanding of radio business and its influence
• Proven leadership and management experience and success
• Ability to operate in a highly collaborative manner and work in pressure situations
• Excellent negotiating and people skills
• Polished presentation skills
• Excellent communication and relationship skills with all levels of executives and management
• Proven experience in crafting and delivering executive-level presentations using various media
• General knowledge and experience with industry information systems ( SoundScan, etc.)
