JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Marketing Manager combines his/her solid marketing experience with exceptional creative design skills to successfully launch and manage integrated marketing campaigns and increase brand awareness. This fast-paced job demands love of music, creativity, multi-tasking, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities. The position manages one Jr Marketing analyist and reports to the Director of Marketing.
Job Functions:
• Collaborate on developing strategic marketing/advertising programs, and manage campaigns to drive new leads, manage consumer acquisition and retention programs to successfully grow our user base, maximize licensing revenue.
• Research, visit, and recommend industry trade shows and conferences. Evaluate and communicate sponsorship and exhibiting opportunities if they help achieve KPIs
• Manage Killer Tracks social media initiatives, plan/scheduling new campaigns, seeking new content to post, and growing follower base.
• Update and maintain the visual design elements and site navigation of the core Killertracks.com site with support from the marketing team.
• Work with multiple external vendors (graphic designers, printers, replication houses and more) to manage timelines and deliver creative products, collateral, Killer Tracks Swag, trade show exhibits and more.
• Create new (and work with existing) digital assets and content, co-operatively with business development, to deliver bi-monthly e-mail blasts to leads, current, and former clients. Analyze data and trends to grow open rate, clicks, and user engagement.
• Work closely with Production, Sales, Business Development, IT, and the executive team to solve problems and use insight from campaigns via working with data team to track performance.
• Participate in weekly Sales Meetings, monthly Music Production meetings, Marketing Meetings, and other meetings as fit.
• Communicate regularly with clients and prospects to improve Killer Tracks products and service offerings (via surveys, promotional e-mails, focus groups, tradeshows, client meetings, and focus groups).
• Analyze monthly website keyword search and download reports to determine needs of new themed playlists, 'music for', or 'moods' categories to reduce client search time
on website.
• Manage creative project schedule(s) with creative designer to meet deadlines, including website updates, sales collateral, HTML email campaigns, social media page layouts, and new website content.
• Oversee bi-monthly new music releases, ensure all album art is completed, approve CD descriptions verifying they theme and sounds of the disc, and all album artwork uploads for the website. manage and assist marketing analyst as needed around new releases.
• Plan and execute, with marketing team: trade show booth layout, event staffing, KT company functions, and parties.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Qualifications: Job Knowledge and Skills:
• Passion for music; background in music a plus
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Dreamweaver, HTML, as well as ALL Microsoft Office applications
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills
• Understanding of CRM systems
• Ability to present and speak publicly in front of small and large groups of colleagues, clients and industry professionals
• Strong communication abilities with the ability to write and convey marketing plans/ to senior executives, colleagues and reports.
Required
Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of progressive marketing experience, including at least 2 year managing others
• Minimum 2 years of B2B marketing or sales experience
• Experience managing and working tradeshows and events (concert production experience also preferred)
• Deep understanding of social media and digital marketing
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, including adaptability, personal effectiveness, and the ability to establish quick rapport.
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to prioritize and effectively follow through under pressure and/or tight deadlines
• Ability to adapt to new computer programs, excellent research skills and the ability to
organize resulting data in summaries, tables and charts.
• Must possess outstanding writing skills for the purpose of composing professional and creative copy for various marketing documentation.
• Must have excellent verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, be self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and work independently
• A team-oriented positive attitude is essential
• Ability to handle confidential information and interact with high-level executives
• Travel required, especially during convention season (January – June)
Desired Experience
• Music production and licensing experience
• Graphic design experience
• Experience in SEO/SEM to maximize targeted search traffic
Education:
• Bachelor's Degree from fully accredited College or University
