Job Summary:
Universal Music Latin Entertainment (UMLE), the #1 record company in the U.S. Hispanic market, and a division of Universal Music Group (UMG) the #1 record label in the world, is currently seeking a Marketing Coordinator.
The Marketing Coordinator will serve as a key component of the marketing team, serving as the administrative and operational epicenter of three of the company's record labels: Universal Latino, Machete Music and Capitol Latin.
The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative, organizational and creative skills. Prior marketing and administrative experience in the music/entertainment field preferred. Candidate must be completely fluent in Spanish (spoken & written), must have an innate passion for the music/entertainment industries and strong digital marketing knowledge. The Marketing Coordinator reports directly to the labels' General Manager and interacts on a daily basis with the Marketing Team (Product Managers, Digital Marketing team, Publicists and Promotion Directors), Retail -both physical and digital-, Finance, New Business and Legal Affairs departments.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Job Functions:
• Planning and control of the marketing quarterly budgets in conjunction with the
Product Managers, creating purchase orders and invoices within our finance systems.
• Communicate with vendors to initiate set up process, answer inquiries on their payments, etc.
• Obtain necessary internal approvals on as needed basis with the finance and
legal departments.
• Coordinate travel for artists and marketing division team.
• Manage local media relationships.
• Service music and music videos to radio and video channels, as well as registering
songs with radio monitoring systems.
• Draft agreements for music videos and independent contractors, as well as various
authorization forms.
• Work with graphic designers to create all kinds of advertising and POP materials.
• Assist the Product and Digital Managers in the execution and control of digital and
traditional marketing tactics.
• Attend/organize events such as private concerts and press junkets/conferences,
among others.
• Assist the General Manager with administrative and day to day basic duties.
• Record and distribute marketing meeting minutes / organize meetings, music
listening sessions.
• Register product with GRAMMYs and Latin GRAMMYs.
