JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for processing third party digital sales files for Universal Music Group Distribution (UMGD). Duties include revenue recognition, maintaining third-party contractual compliance and maintaining SOX compliance. This position interacts with all levels of internal UMGD management, as well as with the finance and operation employees of the US labels, business analysis, legal and external digital service providers. This position reports directly to the Manager of Digital Finance for UMGD.
Job Functions:
This specifically covers the following three areas:
1) Processing third party account transaction files into UMG systems
a) Review reported data for accuracy and completeness
b) Review of data load into the sales system, creating corresponding journal entries to
record revenue
c) Review and reconciliation of the data created from digital sales processor with
downstream systems
d) Resolution of transaction file issues with third party accounts
e) Maintain third party reporting and payment status report
2) Review and clearance of suspense transactions resulting from inaccurate data
submissions from third party digital accounts
3) Management and label reporting of UMG digital revenue
Other key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
1) Review third-party contracts for compliance and entry into contract database
2) Communication with third-party companies regarding all issues of compliance
3) Special projects and analysis as required
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Skills/Abilities:
• Ability to interact comfortably and effectively with employees at all levels of our company
• Bachelor Degree with a major in Finance or Accounting required
• Minimum of 2 years experience in related field required
• CPA preferred but not required with diversified experience
• Entertainment industry experience a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Intermediate/advanced Excel proficiency, including use of pivot tables and worksheet functions
• SAP experience a plus
