Financial Analyst

Universal Music Group is currently seeking a Financial Analyst in our Santa Monica, CA office location.

Overview: This position is responsible for assisting in the planning, forecasting and analyzing the monthly financial information for Universal Music Enterprises.

Responsibilities:
* Prepare monthly forecast presentation documents that will be used in senior level management meetings.
* Load quarterly forecast into HFM for companywide consolidation
* Develop and maintain Excel financial models to assist in the forecasting process
* Assist in developing the annual fiscal plan and presentation
* Weekly financial new release analysis
* Prepare monthly information related to actual vs. forecast variance analysis
* Maintain and submit quarterly forecast P&L statement to corporate finance
* Assist in other day to day operational

Job Requirements:

* BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or Economics
* Two years of finance experience in the entertainment industry
* Advanced proficiency in Excel (Formulas, Macros, Pivot Tables, Linking, Modeling)
* Ability to meet tight deadlines
* Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
* Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities at any given time
* Must be extremely well organized
* Ability to keep information confidential
* Ability to problem solve
* Ability to learn new systems quickly
* HFM Experience a plus
