JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Purpose
Maximize sales through account visits and contact, achieving sales, returns and budget objectives, innovative and effective retail promotions, marketing support, and customer service.
Provide personal inside sales and customer service to platinum accounts to maximize profitable sales and sell-through to maintain Capitol CMG's market leadership.
Essential Job Functions
• Achieve or exceed monthly and yearly sales objectives by effectively promoting our artists, products, and programs.
• Provide impeccable, customer service to all accounts in all situations
• Proactively manage regional accounts by inventory control, entering of orders, and return authorization requests – take charge of the territory as well as manage all special market accounts in sales and order entry and support other accounts as needed.
• Monitor and/or create in-store merchandising of CCD distributed products.
• Plan and execute local marketing and catalog promotional events and programs.
• Support touring artists with retail set up, which includes increasing stock levels and merchandising support, as well as inviting and encouraging retailers to attend tours.
• Capitalize on unique sales opportunities in each specific market by collaborating to develop promotions and sales programs.
• Provide regular and timely feedback concerning sales trends, account changes, buying philosophies, sales opportunities, product performance, successes and missed opportunities, and other relevant information concerning market conditions.
• Educate store personnel and gatekeepers with regard to product knowledge and sales and marketing techniques, while also developing close relationships with account owners, buyers and clerks.
• Maintain social media sites for B2B marketing.
• All other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Proficient in:
• Proficient knowledge of key software programs including MS Office suite, ISR, TinyTerm, eCRM, Adobe Arcobat, EDI, and remote PC communications (VPN access)
• Multi-tasker – able overcome interruptions and juggle competing priorities
• Proven track record in the area of sales and service
• Must possess the ability to work productively with minimum supervision
• Retail experience desirable
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum two years of business-to-business sales experience
