JOB DESCRIPTION:
Universal Music Group is currently seeking a Director, International Marketing in our Hollywood, CA office location:
Purpose of Role:
To lead, executive and manage marketing plans and new releases, specific to the International department for Capitol Music Group
• Key deliverables:
•
• • • • • • • • Develop strategic release initiatives and marketing plans for key artist releases and or series
•
• • • • • • • • Liaise with all departments to manage key timelines, information flow and scheduling
• •
• • • • • • • • Liaise with artist management to manage key timelines, information flow and scheduling
• •
• • • • • • • • Create and/or oversee the development of key marketing assets, and project tools
• •
• • • • • • • • Provide project strategy overviews and status updates
• •
• • • • • • • • Develop and monitor key performance indicators, information and analysis
•
• • • • • • • • Write and execute marketing plans to drive consumers to the release
•
• • • • • • • • Develop and oversee marketing investment and analysis
•
• • • • • • • • Generate and manage marketing budgets
•
• • • • • • • • Manage a high volume of internal/external meetings and email correspondence
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
•
• • • • • • • • Degree qualified or equivalent experience
• Extensive music industry experience with an emphasis on consumer-driven marketing and relationship building initiatives
• Minimum 10 years with music or entertainment company with at least 5 years in a lead product management position or international marketing manager position
• Knowledge and experience with product development process, online marketing, partnership marketing and/or promotion
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, familiarity with Soundscan, Encore/BDS, Insight and specific digital account dashboards
• Great organizational skills with the ability to prioritize based evolving workload
• Strong communication abilities with the ability to write and convey marketing plans/efforts to executives and management
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, including adaptability, personal effectiveness, and the ability to establish quick rapport
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to prioritize and effectively follow through under pressure and/or tight deadlines
• Ability to handle confidential information and interact with high-level executives
