JOB DESCRIPTION:
Description:
The Business Development and Sales Strategy Analyst will develop potential sales targets, provide company/market trend research, analysis and reporting. The objective for this position is to maximize revenue development for the company by discovering and qualifying potential new clients and opportunities via established and new lead sources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Business Development:
• Collaborates with VP of Sales to develop lead generation strategy.
• Assesses new business opportunities for the team - evaluating strategic fit and
industry competition.
• Researches and identifies new contacts and new opportunities for the company's
Top Account targets.
• Generates, qualifies and tracks prospect leads through various strategic campaigns.
• Utilizes strategic selling skills to properly ascertain the needs in relationship to the
company's product offerings for new leads.
• Updates and maintains the integrity of the new lead information in the CRM database.
Ensures current and accurate company data, contacts, proper coding and notes
detailing interaction for leads.
• Utilizes existing and identifies new marketing opportunities to streamline campaigns
and maximize lead-to-opportunity conversion.
• Maximizes lead opportunities from Tradeshows and Industry Events.
• Develops low performing accounts into viable sales opportunities.
• Assists in implementation of approved new business strategies.
• Builds and maintains a healthy sales pipeline to achieve and exceed team's quarterly goals.
Sales Strategy:
• Analyzes sales data and generates weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly forecasts
and metric reports for Sales Management.
• Prepares and delivers sales related presentations to the Sales Organization and
the Executive team.
• Assists in all facets of sales planning and maintains high levels of quality,
accuracy, and process consistency.
• Supports the assignment of sales quotas.
• Monitors the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other intelligence
essential to the sales organization. Recommends revisions to existing reports, or assists
in the development of new reporting tools as needed.
• Supports the consistent implementation of company initiatives.
• Maintains and optimizes company lead/account assignments strategy
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Skills and Requirements:
• Bachelors' Degree or equivalent experience
• Sales aptitude required. Sales or Entrepreneurial experience a plus
• Ability to think creatively and strategically regarding growing sales opportunities
• Strong research skills with the ability to utilize various resources to uncover new contacts
and opportunities
• Excellent computer skills with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office,
Internet applications and Windows-based contact management software, similar to
the company's CRM software.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Superior work ethic and a dynamic, positive attitude.
• Strong customer-focused aptitude with a polite and courteous manner.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy.
• Works well independently, as well as, being a team player.
• Possess the ability to work in a fast-paced and multi-task oriented environment, while
remaining flexible and adaptive to change.
