JOB DESCRIPTION:
A. Job Summary:
Responsible for overseeing the day to day operation of the Synchronization licensing department within the Film & Television department at UMPG, as well as issuing synchronization licenses covering a wide range of media, overseeing language negotiations, and providing various reports.
B. Job Functions:
• Draft, issue, negotiate and revise (as needed) non-exclusive synchronization licenses for various media, including but not limited to: Videogames, Live Stage, Merchandise, Internet and other emerging technologies.
• Assist VP in drafting and negotiations of long-form templates and blanket license agreements. Conduct discussions and negotiate with legal affairs representatives from major studios and other agents and representatives.
• Assist with all types of payment processing / collections issues and questions.
• Generate reports on an 'as needed' basis for various departments, as well as writers and/or writer representatives.
• Research and provide solutions for questions and problems relating to royalty-bearing deals;
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Managerial duties include providing assistance and support to all department members, giving guidance on questions about license language, policies, and procedures; trouble-shooting.

• An ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under deadlines and pressure
• Creative thinking and resolution oriented with strong organizational skills
• Knowledge of music industry and copyright issues
• Knowledge of computers, including MS Office and the Internet
• Ability to work well with others as a team.
Experience:
• 3 or more years of experience in the music licensing field
• Minimum of two years prior managerial experience required
