Universal Music Group is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant, Business & Legal Affairs, for the Santa Monica, CA location.
Overview:
This position is responsible for providing all administrative support for the Trademark Group.
Responsibilities:
The candidate’s responsibilities will include:
•Word processing, proofreading, redlining, faxing, copying, scanning, and filing
•Coordinating meetings, organizing travel, and answering phones
•Processes payment requests and T&E, and foreign invoices
•Maintain the group’s PTO deposit account
•Updating file indices
•Ordering and managing trademark search reports
•Printing Office Actions
•Responding to phone calls and written request for information
•Reviewing trademark watch notices
Skills and Requirements:
•Detail oriented, extremely well organized and ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision
•Ability to set priorities, meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment
•Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
•Ability to take understand and take direction
•Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
•Professional demeanor and attitude, punctuality, and ability to maintain confidentiality
•Strong customer/client service skills a must
•Highly motivated, positive attitude and with a desire to work in a team environment
•Excellency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint and Outlook
•Ability to work with trademark docketing database preferred
