JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Summary:
The Account Director will manage business plan for designated high volume/visibility digital partners, including development and execution of sales and marketing campaigns and goals. This person will manage excellent relationships with digital partners, be able to hit sales/streaming objectives and create incremental sales objectives and opportunities. Sales and marketing will involve all facets of UMGD digital and mobile products.
Job Functions:
• Primary liaison between UMGD/labels and partner to create marketing plans and advertising strategies for new releases
• Solicit, market and pitch new releases and product lines
• Oversee special promotional opportunities with partners (advertising, merchandising, marketing, retail partnership activities)
• Manage sales/streaming activities as it relates to goals of the company
• Communicate trends, success, opportunities, and recommendations to UMGD/labels
• Successfully manage relationship with partners including verification of: launch, product delivery, punctual reporting and on-going partnership maintenance
• Successfully manage relationship and shared goals with home office, labels and marketing team
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum 7 years of sales or marketing experience at music company or digital partner
• Extensive knowledge of UMGD's digital supply chain and Bitmax
• Experience in selling and marketing in high visibility environment
• Solid understanding of digital consumer trends
• A good knowledge and understanding of P&L's
• Ability to think creatively and independently, as well as collaboratively
• Ability to operate in a highly collaborative manner and work in pressure situations
• Excellent negotiating, analytical and people skills
• Polished presentation skills, ability to appeal to variety of customers
• Ability to craft and deliver executive-level presentations
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management and executives
• Experience managing and directing a team
• Knowledge of VEVO/YouTube's Admin and Analytics to strategize artist development
• Understanding of online/social marketing and advertising
• Solid understanding of digital partner practices and business needs
• Experience with retail sales and marketing strategies through direct professional experience
• Strong digital marketing skills are required
