The Vinyl New Release Analyst is responsible for the development of a manufacturing and shipment forecast for their assigned accounts as well as related coordination of the inventory planning process. This position will analyse account and sku specific data to consistently improve forecast accuracy.
The Vinyl New Release Analyst will coordinate item and BOM set-ups and will aid in tracking new release critical path milestones for assigned street dates including any required procurement of inventory and raw materials. This position will also track new release titles through manufacturing and distribution processes to ensure on time delivery to customers.
They will participate in ad hoc projects outside of their day to day activities and will participate in supply chain meetings, distribution review meetings, forecast consensus reviews, account specific meetings, and periodic forecast accuracy and inventory review sessions.
Key Responsibilities
Demand Forecasting
Develop and report on account/sku level products and shipment forecasts for new release product life cycle for all assigned accounts and territories.
Collaborate with Labels, Production, Sales, Sales Planning and Marketing to assist with gathering new release information in order to improve forecast accuracy and product availability.
Participate in consensus review meetings.
Participate in account specific meetings, both internal and external.
Inventory Planning
Determine inventory requirements for new release titles including tracking titles to ensure on-time delivery to customers.
Perform item/BOM set-up for assigned titles/street date.
Aid in tracking critical path milestones for new release titles, including any required procurement of finished goods and raw materials.
Act as account representative for all inquiries relating to inventory positions.
Participate in key meetings pertaining to new release titles.
Process & System Enhancement
Assists with the development of processes, system enhancements, and reports (e.g. Key Performance Indicators (KPI), statistical and trends reports) to facilitate execution of responsibilities.
Forecast Accuracy and Continuous Improvement
Utilizes Key Performance Indicators to identify strengths and opportunities within the forecasting process.
Participate in forecast consensus review meetings and periodic accuracy review sessions.
Directly responsible for meeting forecast accuracy goals for their assigned accounts.
Reporting
Produce and distribute the specific reports summarizing sales and order trends for management.
Produce and distribute on-time delivery report for assigned street dates.
Performs special projects and ad hoc analysis as requested by management or their accounts.
Provide manufacturing and distribution with forecasted shipment needs in order to assist with inventory and manufacturing planning.

Advanced analytical skills
Excellent Excel skills required.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (MS, Word, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio).
Experience in a production forecasting or planning role with a particular emphasis on manufacturing planning, replenishment, inventory planning, analysis, and modeling.
Experience in consumer goods, wholesale, retail, or manufacturing environment is preferred.
Familiarity with planogramming, product assortment, and implementing and/or designing statistical metrics.
Demand/Supply analyst or inventory planning experience and system experience required.
Desirable
An interest in distribution of Entertainment media.
BA/BS in Business, Finance, Economics or related field; or equivalent experience.
