Universal Music Group is seeking a talented, highly motivated and experienced individual to lead our strategic partnership with a mobile enabled recommendation service for vinyl and high end music merchandise, and over time
other consumer focused music recommendation services. This includes executing and delivering on the partnership milestones, effectively negotiating business agreements that benefit UMG and ReplyYes, and provide ongoing management of the partnership to drive growth and customer engagement.
Job Functions:
Responsibilities:
• Own the development of detailed product requirements and metrics for joint success
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and product management to deliver on the product roadmap
• Perform analysis needed for a complete business model, including financial models, customer segmentation, competitive analysis, pricing analysis, etc.
• Complete product management analysis and artifacts, including market requirements, feature road map, and customer experience artifacts.
• Identifying and prioritizing key marketing opportunities between the companies
• Negotiating contracts, maintaining strong relationships with partners
• Prepare and give business reviews to UMG and ReplyYes leadership teams regarding progress and roadblocks
• Partner with logistics team at UMG to ensure smooth and cost effective execution of business to consumers
• Develop consumer product and marketing strategy, leveraging internal UMG staff and external agencies, as needed
Job Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
• 7 years of business/partnership development and/or partner marketing experience
• Proven leader who has experience with being part cross-functional team
• Strong financial modeling and management
• A demonstrated track record of identifying and executing successful partnerships
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up actions
• Demonstrated ability to grasp and discuss technical concepts, tradeoffs and opportunistic new ideas with ReplyYes dev team and UMG
• Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively with multiple teams and external companies
• Excellent cross-functional project management skills
• Ability to travel up to 40% of the time
• Familiarity with metric driven approach to digital marketing and CRM
Preferred
Qualifications:
• BS/BA; MBA is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior executives
• Ability to navigate external organizations
• Comfortable working in startup and getting your hands dirty
• Experience working within the e-commerce or media industries is highly desired
• Experience defining, driving and shipping mass market consumer software or services
