Description
We are currently seeking a motivated & service oriented Travel Coordinator to be part of the corporate travel team. The coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations for internal and external inquiries on travel policy and procedures for all business units within the U.S. The position requires experience and skill in customer service, problem solving, and overall ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast paced environment.
Job Functions:
• Support the VP of Global Travel to help maintain global business goals and priorities
• Liaison with the US designated travel company for special travel requests
• Serve as a point of contact (internal and external) for travel concerns and issues & determine appropriate travel solution
• Assist VP of Global Travel in preparation of meaningful metrics, reports, & presentations
• Ensure all travel training & communication materials are up to date on the Travel intranet site
• Assist internal employees with travel policies and procedures
• Request & distribute any ad hoc reports requested by the business units
• Organize & coordinate meeting requests with internal & external parties
• Assist in maintaining & tracking corporate agreements
• Business owner of eTA (electronic travel authorization) tool
• Update system approver changes in people soft for all business units & communicate updates to designated travel company
Job Requirements:
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of management and administrative support in a professional, business- like manner
• Strong organization, planning, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Display strong self-management and prioritization skills to monitor work progress timely and efficiently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including; ability to prepare routine written communication, and promptly respond to requests and questions clearly and concisely
• Process driven with strong problem solving & follow up skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction
• Works well as a good team player in a group or department
• Effective use of all Microsoft suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
• Ability to be flexible in a constantly moving travel & company environment
• Strong customer skills, ability to manage internal expectations diplomatically
• Multi-tasking skills to be able to balance tactical day-to-day issues
Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years work experience in the travel industry, corporate travel operations, hotel industry, or travel technology area required
Education:
• College degree desired
