Job Summary:
As the Sr. Manager, CRM your primary responsibility will be to create marketing opportunities through organic growth and implement them across email and social channels. This includes working with Universal Music Group (UMG) labels, internal marketing and sales teams, retail partners, and the Consumer Relationship Marketing department.
Job Functions:
• Develop, maintain, and optimize email marketing campaigns for Universal Music Group through organic growth. This includes creating the central UMG email campaign strategy, driving new subscriber acquisition and improving engagement across various KPIs.
• Focus on central UMG email lifecycle campaign strategy to ensure the right message is sent to the right fan at the right time. This will include leveraging relevant 1st party data for retargeting and personalized email content to drive central initiatives.
• Strategize with Marketing and CRM team on best email customer contact strategy and execution process.
• Generate and analyze timely email campaign reports to develop and recommend actionable insights (24 hrs/3 days/5 days post campaign/monthly), as well as develop testing plans to continuously improve email performance against identified KPIs and goals
• Monitor platforms and industry trends in social media to have a strong understanding of capabilities and strategies that can be leveraged across UMG artists
• Maintain and grow partner/account relationships (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Flipagram, Snapchat, etc.) for beta
opportunity consideration and project collaboration
• Develop programs that utilize existing and emerging social media techniques including applications, technology, and loyalty. This includes researching companies, assessing technology viability, and measuring effectiveness
• Manage third party content updates for the UMG communities and cultivate, engage and grow social media profiles (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, , etc.),
• Ensure consistent voice and messaging of Universal Music Group
• Develop creative marketing ideas across UMG labels with the ability to clearly articulate and present recommendations and campaign results throughout the organization
• Define and analyze KPIs and metrics for measuring social strategy and performance effectiveness
• Keep updated on existing and emerging email and social media marketing technologies, channels, practices and tactics in order to provide insight and help marketers across UMG evaluate social media marketing opportunities
• Define best practices and opportunities to evangelize across artist releases and labels, including ongoing case studies and knowledge sharing
• Manage the social tool enterprise software licensed by UMG and utilized by labels. Includes account management, product rollout and implementation and label support.
• Build relationships across UMG labels, social media marketing companies, and developers to successfully collaborate across projects
• The ideal candidate lives and breathes CRM and social media and marketing and has hands-on experience in cultivating social communities
Job Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
• Strong understanding of marketing and email communication strategies and best practices around permission based marketing
• Well versed across social platforms and social marketing and analytics tools
• Proven success in creating and executing email and/or social media programs
• Strong analytical skills
• Creative and passionate about digital marketing
• Proactive and highly motivated self-starter with the ability to interact with a variety of individuals and personalities
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional writing, communication/presentation and influence skills
• Extremely organized and detail oriented
• Proven ability to be self-starter and self-sufficient
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, social media and analytics platforms, GoogleAnalytics, various ESPs, Return Path ; HTML and other Web-language skills a plus
Experience:
• 7 years experience in email and social media
• Prior experience in digital marketing and entertainment industry
Education:
• Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
