We are seeking an eager Senior Director of eCommerce, Fan Engagement & Traffic Generation who will be responsible to strategize and implement artist specific direct to consumer initiatives aimed at driving traffic, consumer acquisition and revenue. The role will be primarily focused on driving music, merchandise and VIP ticketing sales for artists signed by Bravado International, a wholly owned subsidiary of UMG. The Sr. Director will report to the SVP of Consumer Engagement for UMG, and will collaborate with management teams, product managers at Bravado International and label digital marketing staff. Traffic and revenue generation, including social media strategy, product and holiday promotions, paid media and content marketing and CRM (with support from central and label CRM resources)
Job Functions:
• While the focus of this role will be to serve Bravado International, the Sr. Director will have a high degree of visibility across UMG labels, collaborating with label product managers and UMG Commercial Services teams to ensure that artist marketing programs are well integrated across music, merchandising, fan club, VIP experiences, touring and other subscription initiatives for each artist.
• This person will manage timelines, budgets, content development, and marketing plans with the goal of maximizing site traffic and revenue, integrating both a ''analytical marketer'' and ''creative storyteller'' approach to traffic generation during artists release cycles and, critically, during ''off cycle'' periods as well.
• Additionally, this individual will work with label and UMG analytics and CRM teams to measure the impact of traffic and revenue generation strategies, and communicate best practices to stakeholders.
• Finally, this person will work with internal and external creative teams to develop creative, strategically aligned content that is effective, forward thinking and distinctively fits with each artist's brand.
Job Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
• 5 years professional experience in social media management, direct to consumer marketing, and/or content creation
• Experience driving growth across the all channels; Email, App Push, SMS, social, remarketing and others
• Proven record of successful achievement of growth goals
• Deep understanding of social media platforms, digital marketing techniques and data driven marketing
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively work with both creative and business oriented colleagues and partners
• Analytical mind set, with an ability to see ''the forest from the trees''
Education/Experience Required
• Bachelor's Degree
