Spring Educational Temp - Streaming Marketing - Nashville
A. Job Summary:
If you have a passion for music and want to learn more about digital marketing, then we want to hear from you! We include our interns in all aspects of the business to maximize the learning experience. Applicants MUST be creative, willing to learn, have a flexible schedule, and of course, want to have fun!
B. Job Functions:
Performance Tasks
o Creating and scheduling social content for artists and clients
o Pulling data for insights and analysis
o Strategizing and executing ways to promote artists & clients in order to grow their fan base across all social platforms
o Participate in brainstorming sessions with the marketing team about creative single/album releases, tour announcements, music video releases, special promotions, etc.
o Developing Spotify promotion strategies and assisting the promotions team
o Various day-to-day maintenance tasks for all social media and advertising accounts
Outcomes
o Have a working knowledge of digital marketing in the music industry
o Basics of Spotify playlisting and promotion
o Mastery of how to increase engagement for artists and brands on all social outlets
o Familiarity with online marketing tools, i.e. Hootsuite, MailChimp, Google Analytics, Facebook Ads, Adwords etc.
o Ability to analyze campaign performance, summarize key insights, and recommend actions to improve.
o A great time and some awesome new friends
C. Job Requirements:
Educational Temp Program Requirements:
• Driven, hardworking, thoughtful
• Have a working knowledge of social media and a desire to learn more about the digital marketing world
• Come to work with ideas to help increase engagement and awareness for artists and brands
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Understanding of music streaming services and promotions
• Knowledge of Photoshop, Pixelmator or other web design tools is a plus, but not necessary
• Minimum of 20 hours of availability each week during business hours
• Must be enrolled as a full time student
• Exceptional computer, written and verbal communication skills
• Should have at least sophomore year standing
• Must be able to legally work in the United States
