Description
We are currently seeking a technically-savvy, customer service-oriented professional to fill our open Specialist position. Reporting to both the Director and Senior Manager of Label Process Operations (LPO), the Specialist will primarily be responsible for administering the day-to-day operations of the physical production scheduling system, assisting with customer service for the digital production scheduling system, conducting research and analysing data on behalf of the management team, and providing technical assistance and operational support to label and central team employees of UMG in North America. This individual will develop a thorough understanding of the existing business processes and various systems used (including Atlas, Milestone, GPS, StudioHub, and DiGS) in order to facilitate this work and ultimately, the scheduling of physical and digital releases throughout North America. This position requires a high level of detail-orientation, organization, and strong computer skills.
Job Functions:
• Physical scheduling (Milestone): First-line user support for system end users, including system training. Regular system administration and maintenance, including user set-ups and troubleshooting; additional data entry, as needed
• Digital scheduling (DiGS): Administer updates on restricted releases on behalf of NA labels; additional system maintenance, troubleshooting, and data entry on behalf of North American label families for special projects (e.g., mass entry of catalog releases)
• Studio Hub: Provide technical assistance and operational support to Studio Hub users by maintaining log of reported issues and escalating to Application Support and/or the project team, as needed; maintaining the user guides and making any necessary corrections and/or updates on both the external and internal user hubs via WordPress
• All systems in LPO portfolio: Track issues reported by system users and escalate to Senior Manager and Director and/or Application Support, as needed; perform user acceptance testing when necessary
• Research and perform key metric analysis in Studio Hub on behalf of Executive team
• Specific projects as assigned by Director or Senior Manager
• Along with entire LPO team, act as a liaison between the label business and legal, production and A&R administration departments, central production and finance/accounting, and enterprise IT groups
• Back-up LPO team project administration for North American projects in Atlas/R2
• Back-up LPO team on artist administration duties in Atlas/R2
• Back-up LPO team on Atlas set up of distributed labels’ projects for R2 purposes

Experience:
• At least 5 years of work experience in a business-related setting
• At least 3-5 years in an entertainment/music business-related role preferred
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree
