Description
Job title: Senior Manager, Archives
Responsible to: Vice President, Asset & Archives management
Department: Asset & Archives Management
Location of work: Multi-Site Locations
Main purpose of role
• Ensuring the physical safety and integrity of the UK archives (WHT site)
• Archive Research & Auditing
• Overseeing Preservation initiatives
• Accessioning assets into the archives (WHT site)
• Supplying assets for multiple production & distribution scenarios
• Providing representation and world class customer service to labels, catalogue teams,
• Artists & Managers, Audio, Video and Graphics/ Photo creative industries
Additional responsibilities include:
• To help support the Archive leadership & Operational teams to design and implement archiving standards and processes globally
• Lead, develop & manage a small archive services team
• Day to day management of Iron Mountain as a service provider
• Responsibility for H&S and basic facilities management at the WHT site
• Collaborating with Archives Operations team member to help report on KPIs around archiving services and projects
• Minor budget management & cost containment initiatives
• Responsible for navigating a dynamic range of operating cultures
• Some International & European travel may be required
Person SpecificationEssential
• Management level experience working within the music industry
• Background in Media Production i.e. audio production, video editing, graphic design.
• Proactive
• Problem solver
• Self-sufficient, ability to work autonomy
• Flexible and authentic approach to customer services & collaboration.
• Results and Deadline driven
• Solid technology skills, experience working with Content Management Systems or Digital Distribution systems
• Experience dealing with Enterprise level IT & system rollouts
• Good attention to detail, accuracy
Desirable
• German or French language skills
• Process/ business analysis skills
• Archiving & Facilities management experience
• Full, clean driving license
