We are currently seeking an exceptional Senior Analyst (who loves data!) for our Vendor Management Office (VMO). This position reports to the Senior Director and is responsible for supporting the VMO and our U.S. business units with the
operational aspects of vendor oversight and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) compliance. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for maintaining the quality and reporting of our vendor portfolio data to help us drive efficiency within the scope of evolving governance processes and policies. Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual passionate about data who can lead operational data quality processes and reporting requirements for a complex vendor portfolio. The VMO's guiding principle is to support UMG in obtaining the greatest value from vendor contracts and ensure that procurement activities reflect our commitment to CSR.
Job Functions:
Vendor Management/CSR
• Maintains vendor portfolio data integrity and enhancements
• Assist in design and development of contracts management database (SharePoint)
• Liaise with Senior Director and business owners to ensure reporting is aligned with stakeholder needs and program
objectives, delivered with consistency and clarity
• Automate and continuously improve BW reporting templates for program analytics, CSR and stakeholder reporting
• Provide reporting visibility and reporting on vendor classification
• Creates spend baseline reporting to support specific projects and planning
• Coordinate projects for vendor account and contacts de-duping, and data clean-up
• Gather all supplier information and UMG vendor usage data within UMG e.g. spend by type of X, number of licences etc.
• Manage production of the vendor portfolio within SAP BW on at least a weekly basis and share with Senior Director and indicated stakeholders
• Conduct analysis on usage data within UMG to set appropriate caps and budget limits where Business requires support (e.g. photography, stylists etc. to set common approaches business wide)
• Measure expenditure, using the vendor portfolio, after implementation of new supplier agreements to monitor changes in expenditure to allow for budget reductions
• Supports departmental and/or organizational strategy development
• Provides clear concise verbal or written reports of vendor performance or action plans
• Provides BW reporting training/cross-training to VMO team
Job Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
• Required strong analysis and operational usage of SAP (BW/ECC), SharePoint and MS Excel
• Strong analytical background, comfort with complex data-oriented products & structured problem solving capabilities
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to present and communicate cross functionally
• Interacts effectively with all levels at UMG and externally with vendors as required
• Advanced skills with the following applications required:
o SAP Business Warehouse
o SharePoint
o MS Excel
• Intermediate skills with the following applications desired:
o MS Word
o Adobe Acrobat Pro
o MS PowerPoint
Experience:
• 3 years minimum relevant experience including vendor management with accountability to measure output.
• Experience in an IT Vendor Management Office, preferred
Education:
• BA/BS degree in a technical or business-oriented field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, MIS) required
