Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a Royalty Analyst in Universal Music Publishing Group. The person in this role will handle cash reconciliation, billing, and prepare excel data.
Job Functions:
• Reconciliation of cash receipt to electronic royalty statement file
• Prepare adjustments for reconciling differences between cash receipt and electronic statement file
• In Excel, prepare and analyze data from electronic statement file for use in cash reconciliation worksheet
• Analyze electronic statement file layouts for royalty interface development options
• Prepare electronic adjustment files for purposes of re-posting income via various report download options in royalty system
• UPPM billing and extract reconciliation via CRM system
• Liaise and effectively communicate UMPG's electronic reporting requirements with external sources
• Electronic file upload via an FTP server, e-mail, or disc and organization of archived electronic statement files
on the system shared drive
• On semi-annual basis, assist with reconciling the Cash Book to incoming royalty statements processed in the royalty system
• Assist with testing newly developed and modified electronic royalty statement interfaces prior to and during live implementation
• Analyze and match song data from incoming royalty statements to appropriate song(s) in royalty system
• Special projects as needed
Job Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
• Must possess strong skills using Microsoft Excel and be proficient in a Windows environment.
• Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills
• Must be detail-oriented and able to prioritize work
• Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Overtime as required
Experience:
• 3-5 years of experience in a royalty administration field preferred
• Experience with music publishing royalties preferred
Education:
• 4 year college degree in Business/Accounting or minimum of 12 units of Accounting required Universal Music Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
