Job title: Resource Rights Operations Manager
Responsible to: Director, Resource Rights Operations
Department: Digital and Metadata Operations
Location of work: Kensington Village
Main purpose of role
This role is responsible for maintaining UMG's resource rights for UGC based partners. This includes but is not limited to:
VEVO
• Schedule and set up of all international VEVO video releases
• Liaise between labels and the VEVO team to troubleshoot issues in a timely manner
YouTube
• Assist with claim management and monetizing UMG audio and visual content
• Analyse and process user disputes and appeals in YouTube
• Analyse and process reference overlaps and invalid references in YouTube
• Review, evaluate and resolve ownership conflicts in YouTube's CMS
• Identify and report potential issues in the YouTube CMS
UMG Resource Rights Systems
• Assist with asset evaluation in UMG's internal delivery platform
• Work with global BA departments to ensure rights and flags are correct in UMG's rights system
Territory/Label Support
• Manage requests from various Op Cos in a timely manner
• Provide consistent Label and Territory support
Essential
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Strong organisational skills
• Excellent IT skills including advanced Excel
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to juggle multiple parallel tasks
• Personable and able to work with a wide variety of stakeholders both internally and externally
• Ability to prioritise across multiple projects
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work to strict deadlines unsupervised
Desirable
• Proven ability to find solutions to problems
• Have a keen interest in the digital music/media industry and the technology that surrounds it
• Experience using Universal in-house systems
• Experience working across international territories
• Knowledge of content management and delivery systems, ideally including YouTube and VEVO CMS
• Knowledge of video standards and formats, and best practice within content management
