Job Summary:
Our Universal Music Group and Brands (UMGB) Production Designer will bring a passion for both digital and print design to the new UMGB Studio Team in NYC. As our key Production Designer in NYC, you will play a major part in the implementation and oversight of a new brand identity launch in June 2016 in the US. The type of projects to expect include but at not limited to: imagery for digital e-newsletters, editorial print layouts for a quarterly magazine, pitch presentation designs, keynote speaker deck designs for C-suite leadership, imagery swipe searches and light box pulls, comping up of experiential concepts and digital content experiences.
UMGB is a music strategy, experiential and content marketing division responsible for delivering partnership programs and digital content in between artists and major brands like American Airlines, Marriott, Pop-Tarts, Jeep and more. You will be required to gain an understanding of event production, event design and event management as much of UMGB's work is rooted in live events and live content capture. A positive attitude and openness to learning/mentorship are essential.
UMGB's Production Designer works directly under the UMGB Marketing Director and an LA-based Studio Manager serving internal ''clients'' (Account Managers, Strategists, and C-suite leadership).
Job Functions:
• Experiential and Digital Art Comps/Mock-ups for Presentations
• Service the account teams and key leadership
Job Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
• Powerpoint and Presentation Design Mastery
• Typography skills for print and digital
• Print production management and Pre-flighting in InDesign
• Vector artwork capabilities in Illustrator
• Iconography design
• Chart design or infographic design
• Project Management of Assignments
• File formatting and folder structure/archiving
• Mac OS environment
Experience:
• 1-3 years working in a design production capacity
• New Business Experience working on pitches with teams of at least 2-4 people
• Taking direction from C-suite level executives
Education:
• Graphic Design degree or experience equivalent
