Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a passionate, eager, and exceptional Playlist Programmer and music devotee, to join a busy team, as part of our Streaming Marketing group. You will be responsible for programming many playlists, in multiple genres and styles of music. The position requires a strong background in digital media and data analysis. Ideally, a programming and/or Radio background is preferred.
Job Functions:
• Optimize playlists via curation to maximize UMG streams and UMG's market share. This is done on a daily basis, with various optimization schedules for each playlist, varying from daily to weekly or bi-weekly.
• Track, analyze data and research that effects placement and order of tracks in our playlists.
• Develop and create ideas for the Digster brand, via data, playlists, and platforms.
• Develop and maintain department documents and data reports that are culled from playlist data and outside research.
Job Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
• Strong understanding of Streaming platforms including: Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Google, SoundCloud, Napster, Groove, Deezer and Vevo.
• Strong Playlisting and computer skills; must be highly digital and analytics savvy. Knowledge of Python, MySQL, AWS EC2 and/or Lambda is helpful.
• Strong organizational and time management skills are needed, with an understanding of prioritization and follow-through.
• Strong understanding of all forms of media, including digital, social and traditional.
• Position requires adaptability, strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Candidate must have the ability to work in a fast paced, high- pressure environment.
• Candidate must maintain strict confidentiality on materials and information.
• Candidate must be detail-focused, and provide exceptional quality of work, always.
Experience:
• Minimum 2 years experience in digital marketing, radio, television, or elsewhere within the entertainment industry.
• Playlisting experience, and strong music background, and sense of pop culture and trends is preferred.
• Specialty in Dance/EDM, Latin, Alternative, and Chill formats a plus.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree
