The Operations Coordinator will provide customer service and operational support to Operations management and vendors as well as other areas within logistics. This individual will be responsible for interacting with many departments and customers each day and has the ability to handle difficult situations leaving all parties satisfied.
Job Functions:
• Support management in implementing plans with a view to achieve goals successfully
• Provide support in the development of detailed budgets, work plans, forecasts and funding opportunities
• Prepare procedure and guidance notes to present to managers
• Performs systems administration duties to support vendor and operational needs
• Provides operational support to the carrier/vendor routing, carrier service issues and problem resolution
• Assist in resolving escalated customer order issues and complaints
• Handle filing and data entry duties pertaining to each department’s specific support systems
• Plan and schedule projects in a proactive manner by interacting with both external agencies and organizations
• Liaise with sales and production departments to provide program direction.
• Perform research on operational metrics and handle reporting duties
• Conduct periodic reports for management
• Conduct weekly inventory reports
• Special projects as assigned
• Work hand-in-hand with director of operations to ensure enhanced customer service experiences
Job Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
• Proficiency in Excel & Microsoft Office
• Extremely detail oriented and organized.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and projects at a time.
• Motivated, takes initiative, and is looking to grow within the company.
• Trustworthy with sensitive information.
• Strong math and analytical skills
Experience:
• 1-2 years of relevant experience
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Logistics preferred
