Job Summary:
The Developer is responsible for working on a self-empowered team to deliver micro services and integration components, which form the building blocks for the UMG architecture. The development requirement is a .Net technology stack using Test-Driven Development and Behavior-Driven Development as an integral part of the delivery process. The candidate will also utilize advanced continues delivery methodology through to Production.
Job Functions:
• Provide estimates to the required level of accuracy for stories and tasks
• Write technical user stories
• Ability to write unit tests when implementing user stories
• Ability to design and develop code for testability
• Help remove technical impediments raised by the team
• Collaborate with the team to assign business value to technical stories
Job Requirements:
• Five years software development experience with two - three years in an Agile environment (Scrum and/or Kanban)
• Experience with version control systems (i.e. GitHub, Subversion, etc.)
• Solid grounding with common design patterns and development best practices
• Capable of learning new technologies and platforms quickly and be able to apply them to solve complex problems
• Knowledge in one or more Object Oriented Languages with a sound understanding of the OOP nuances
• Experienced in:
o Domain Driven Design
o .Net: C# and .Net 4:, Visual Studio 10 for middle tier work
o Object Oriented JavaScript for front-end work
o Messaging and integration services
o XML and XSD's
• Bonus Skills:
o Knowledge of AWS design and infrastructure
o AngularJS or similar modern JavaScript single page application frameworks
o Modern HTM5 and CSS Design Techniques – including responsive design and targeting different devices
