We have an exciting opportunity for a National PR & Media Manager to join Universal Music Australia, based at our Sydney office. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating and implementing campaigns to gain maximum media exposure for UMA artist releases across all national online media, blogs and print publications.
Key responsibilities:
• Work with both the Media and Marketing teams to implement publicity campaigns for all UMA Music priorities.
• Responsible for UMA representation at all national publications and all on-line assets.
• Work with artists, artist management and UMA marketing colleagues to devise and implement innovative, attainable and successful publicity campaigns.
• Compose media releases for album/event/activity/tours announcements.
• Execute on-ground promotional schedules when required.
• Network and build relationships with key media, blogs, and online influencers for ‘seeding’ of our developing artists releases.
About You:
• Proven relevant experience in a similar role within the music/media/creative/entertainment industry, creating and managing innovative press campaigns.
• High level of creativity, innovation and enthusiasm; and the ability to drive business priorities to business partners.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication, report building and delivery skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong relationship with media and key business partners, artists and artists managers.
• Genuine love of music and broad music knowledge, including UMA artist repertoire.
• Experience or strong understanding of the digital music market and digital marketing campaigns.
• Ability to influence and maximise all publicity opportunities within budget constraints.
